Overview Edit

Alfred Pennyworth is the butler for the Wayne family of Gotham City. He began his service with Thomas and Martha Wayne, and was the only hired hand on the estate. After the Wayne's were murdered, Alfred continued to work for the family, taking instruction solely from their orphaned son, Bruce. Alfred is one of the few people who know the truth about Bruce Wayne's dual role as Batman, as well as that of his partner, Dick Grayson, aka Robin. A consummate professional and distinguished gentleman, Alfred is also known for his droll wit, often making sarcastic comments relating to Bruce Wayne's nocturnal activities. In addition to his standard butler duties, Alfred is also responsible for maintaining the Batcave, and performing emergency first aid whenever Batman and Robin suffer injuries in the field.
