Babylon 5: A Call to Arms is an American made-for-TV movie of the science fiction genre. It is based on the Babylon 5 television series created by J. Michael Straczynski and is the fifth film in the franchise following 1998's Babylon 5: The River of Souls. It is succeeded by the 2002 TV movie Babylon 5: The Legend of the Rangers. The telemovie was directed by Michael Vejar and written by J. Michael Straczynski. It first aired on the TNT network on Sunday, January 3rd, 1999. The premise of the film sets up the Babylon 5 spin-off project, Crusade.
