"Woe Is Joined" is the premiere episode of season one of the crime drama/mystery series Blindspot. It was directed by Mark Pellington with a script written by Martin Gero. It first aired on NBC on Monday, September 21st, 2015 at 10:00 pm. A beautiful young woman finds herself awakening inside of a bag dropped in the middle of Times Square. She has no memory of who she is, and is naked and covered in tattoos. This "Jane Doe" is taken in by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which sparks intense curiosity, as one of the tattoos on her back is the name of Special Agent Kurt Weller. The F.B.I. discover that Jane's tattoos are linked to various criminal enterprises, including government corruption. Though she has no knowledge of who she is, her reflexive memory speaks to someone who has had intense combat training.
