|Includes a running list of characters who are only known by the name of Bo.|
Bo is a Succubus and fictional private investigator, and the protagonist of the Canadian television series Lost Girl. Played by actress Anna Silk, she was introduced in the series' first episode, "It's a Fae, Fae, Fae, Fae World" and has appeared in all subsequent episodes of the series.
The actual pilot that sold the series to Showcase is Vexed and was used as the eight episode of Season 1. Bo is a member of the supernatural race known as the Fae. Largely unaware of her origins, she grew up with an adoptive human family, but discovered on her eighteenth birthday that she had developed an overwhelming hunger to consume the chi (life force) and sexual energy of other humans, both male and female.
Unfortunately, sating this hunger — and only means of survival — often required killing her victims. On the run for ten years, Bo assumed various aliases and was working as a bartender in a hotel lounge when she chi-drained and killed a salesman who spiked a young woman's drink, saving her (Kenzi) from being raped by him. After leaving her kill behind inside an elevator, she was discovered by two members of the Fae working as police detectives in a local precint, Dyson and Hale, who abducted her and introduced her to the world of the Light Fae and Dark Fae, whereupon she was forced into a ritual battle to choose which of the two clans she would align with. Bo refused to align herself with either one and, instead, chose humans.
