Brooklyn Nine-Nine is an American television comedy series. It was created by Dan Goor and Michael Schur and produced by Fremulon and Universal Television. It began airing on the FOX Network on September 17th, 2013. The central setting of the show is the fictional 99th police precinct in Brooklyn, New York City.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine stars Andy Samberg as the goofy, yet capable police detective, Jake Peralta. The show also stars Stephanie Beatriz as the ever-angry Rosa Diaz, Terry Crews as the muscle-bound worry wart Sergeant Terry Jeffords, Melissa Fumero as the Type-A kiss-ass, Detective Amy Santiago, Joe Lo Truglio as uber-geek Detective Charles Boyle, Chelsea Peretti as the self-absorbed secretary Gina Linetti and Andre Braugher as the stoic homosexual police captain, Raymond Holt. Other cast members credited in starring roles during the opening sequences include Dirk Blocker as Norm Scully, and Joel McKinnon Miller as Michael Hitchcock.
