Charles Meade is a fictional warlock and a key antagonist on the CW Network television series The Secret Circle. Played by actor Gale Harold, he was introduced in the pilot episode of the show. He was credited in all twenty-two episodes of the series, but actually only appeared in seventeen episodes.
Overview[]
Charles Meade was a warlock and the father of Diana Meade and the lover of Dawn Chamberlain. He played a key role in a controversy surrounding a previous witches' coven from the 1990s, that was destroyed due to the actions of magus John Blackwell. In 2011, Charles and Meade conspired to regain their lost power by manipulating the lives of the current generation of the Secret Circle. To this end, Charles murdered Amelia Blake, who was the mother of the Circle's newest member, Cassie Blake. Ultimately, Charles sacrificed his own existence to trap a demon inside of him, which left him in a petrified state.
