Dave Finkel is a television story and teleplay writer and producer. He was born in Los Angeles, California on May 15th, 1970. He has worked as an executive producer on several notable programs including Just Shoot Me!, Center of the Universe, Joey, 30 Rock, United States of Tara and New Girl.

As a writer, Dave Finkel started out as a staff writer on the Animaniacs animated series, as well as it's spin-off program, Pinky and the Brain. He wrote seven episodes of Norm in 2000 and 2001 before moving on to Just Shoot Me!.

Dave Finkel was a co-executive producer on season two of the comedy series Joey. He was credited in ten episodes of the show. He wrote two episodes of 30 Rock in 2006 and 2007 and has written ten episodes of United States of Tara.

In 2012, Dave Finkel co-wrote the "Control" episode of New Girl as well as the season one finale, "See Ya".
