"Doll Parts" is the eleventh episode of season two of the science fiction television series Defiance and the twenty-fourth episode of the series overall (if one counts the two-part series pilot as two episodes). It was directed by Andy Wolk and written by Phoef Sutton. It first aired on Syfy on Thursday, August 21st, 2014 at 8:00 pm.

In this episode, somebody murders Deirdre Lamb by pushing off the top of the Gateway Arch. All signs implicate Alak Tarr in the crime. Joshua Nolan leaves Defiance to search for Irisa. Before going, he deputizes Amanda Rosewater as a Lawkeeper and she is now tasked with solving Deirdre's murder.

  • First appearance of Andina, who becomes a handmaiden for the Tarr family in this episode. This is her only appearance this season.

Allusions Edit

  • The title of this episode is taken from Treasure Doll, which was Deirdre Lamb's professional name. A fitting title to be sure since this particular doll was definitely broken up into many parts in this episode.
