Dick Jones was only 10 when Walt hired him to provide the voice of Pinocchio. Despite his age, Dick had more than 40 films to his credit, including Stella Dallas with Barbara Stanwyck. That experience proved invaluable during the 19 months he worked on Pinocchio. He completed a role in Mr. Smith Goes to Washington during the same time, and went on to make many more films and television shows. He retired from show business in 1959 and began a second career in real estate.
