It was not the practice of the BBC to preserve individual episodes and most recording tapes were wiped after their initial broadcast. Of the forty episodes produced for season two, only ten episodes have survived and can be found on the Dr. Finlay's Casebook: Series 2 DVD collection, which was released by the BBC in Region 2 format in 2014.
