Fort Knox is a United States Army post in Kentucky south of Louisville and north of Elizabethtown. The 109,000 acre base covers parts of Bullitt, Hardin, and Meade counties. It currently holds the Army human resources Center of Excellence to include the Army Human Resources Command, United States Army Cadet Command and the United States Army Accessions Command. In television, Fort Knox has probably been broken into more than any other location known the world over. In 1976, a maniacal supervillain who called himself The Sorcerer robbed Fort Knox. The heroes Electra Woman and Dyna Girl tried to stop him, but he sprung a trap on them, imprisoning them inside of a cage guarded by a tiger while he and his assistant, Miss Dazzle, escaped with the gold. On Challenge of the Super Friends, members of the evil Legion of Doom disguised themselves as members of the Super Friends and stole high volumes of gold bullion from Fort Knox.
