Season Two of the comic book inspired crime drama series Gotham began airing on September 21st, 2015. This season was marketed under the subheading "Rise of the Villains". The second half of the season, which started in 2016 carried the tagline "Wrath of the Villains". Returning main cast members from season one include Ben McKenzie as Jim Gordon, Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock, David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne, Zabryna Guevara as Sarah Essen, Sean Pertwee as Alfred Pennyworth, Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean and Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle. Season one cast members who have departed from show include Andrew Stewart-Jones, who played Crispus Allen, Victoria Cartagena, who played Renee Montoya, and recurring guest star Jada Pinkett Smith, who played Fish Mooney. Season one guest stars Morena Baccarin and Cory Michael Smith are now bumped up to regular cast members in their respective roles as Doctor Leslie "Lee" Thompkins and Edward Nygma. Newcomers to season two include James Frain as Gothamite puppet master Theo Galavan and Jessica Lucas as his sister, Tabitha.
