Mrs. Hope Stinson is a fictional newspaper owner featured on the TV sitcom series Too Close for Comfort. Played by actress Pat Carroll, she was introduced in the premiere episode of season six, "Henry's Change of Life" and became a regularly appearing cast member on the series, appearing in twenty episodes in total until the program's conclusion with "Lisa Goes Lottery Loco".

Hope Stinson lived in the town of Mill Valley in Marin County, California in the mid-late 1980s. She was a widow and the majority owner of a local newspaper publication called The Marin Bugler. In 1986 she became partners in the paper with former cartoonist Henry Rush, but as majority owner, had more authority over him in terms of how to run the paper, which often led to professional clashes between the two.
