James "J.J." Evans, Jr. is a fictional teenager featured in the 1974-1979 sitcom series Good Times. Played by actor Jimmie Walker, he was introduced in the pilot episode of the show, "Getting Up the Rent", and has been credited in all 133 episodes of the show. His final appearance was in the unaired episode, "Cousin Raymond". J.J. Evans became an iconic and memorable character and symbol of 1970s television, owing largely to his wisecracking nature and his trademark phrase, "Dyn-o-mite!"
