- The character of Jeff Clark was created by developer Dan Curtis, story developer Art Wallace, director John Sedwick and writer Gordon Russell.
- Jeff Clark did not have a counterpart in the 1991 Dark Shadows revival series, but his pre-incarnation, Peter Bradford, appeared during the "1790 Flashback" story-arc and was played by Michael T. Weiss (who also played Joe Haskell in the modern-era episodes).
- It has been theorized by Barnabas Collins, that although the soul Peter Bradford left Jeff Clark's body to journey back to the year 1796, it is believed that Jeff Clark is still alive in the then-present era.
