Liz Meriwether is a television producer, showrunner, teleplay writer and actress. She is the creator of the 2011FOX Network comedy series New Girl starring Zooey Deschanel. Liz wrote the scripts for three episodes from season one of the show, as well as composed the music for the opening credits theme song, "Who's That Girl?".
Liz Meriwether wrote the "Show Me On Montana" episode of Childrens Hospital, a five-minute CW Network web series that spoofs popular medical drama programs.
In 2005 Liz apeared in the dramedy film The Squid and the Whale, directed by Noah Baumbach starring Jeff Daniels and Laura Linney.
In 2011 Liz wrote the script for the Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher romantic comedy No Strings Attached. She also played the role of a writer in the film.
