Mews is a fictional animal featured on the Netflix television series Stranger Things. Mews was a cat owned by the Henderson family. Claudia Henderson doted over this feline, and was extremely attached to it. Her teenage son, Dustin Henderson, brought home a stray critter, which he mistakenly believed to be a pollywog, but was in fact a newborn Demogorgon from the Upside Down. As the creature grew in size, it craved fresh blood. It attacked and killed Mew Mew and Dustin came upon it just as it was eating the animal. He told his mother that the cat had run off and been found elsewhere just to distract her from the fact that there was a carnivorous alien entity running amok in her house.
