Miles Person approached Odin Quincannon about entering into a partnership with another company in order to increase revenue for the town. Odin had no intention of sharing his power and literally pissed on the idea by urinating on the company's brochure while it was still sitting in Miles' briefcase.
Emily Woodrow need to pick up a flatscreen television for a church raffle and asked Miles to watch her children, Tommy and Alice. When Emily returned home, Miles and she shared a bottle of wine and got a little intoxicated. Miles always had an interest in Emily, but she told him flatly that they would never be together.
