Biography[]
Mohinder Suresh was a scientist and a teacher specializing in genetics with an emphasis on human evolution. He hailed from Madras, India and grew up in the shadow of his ambitious father, Chandra Suresh.
In 2006, Mohinder was giving a lecture on the human genome at Chennai University when he received word from his colleague Nirand that his father had been murdered while working abroad in New York City. Mohinder was determined to piece together the mystery behind his father's death, but moreover, he committed himself towards continuing Chandra's research. Mohinder relocated to the United States and took up residence at his father's apartment in Brooklyn. He even assumed Chandra's day job as a taxicab driver.
While pouring through his father's belongings, he found files relating to various individuals who had seemingly developed superhuman abilities. Chandra's work had attracted attention from some very interested parties, one of whom even broke into the apartment on the day that Suresh moved in.
