Ratwater is a small town located somewhere in the American southwest in the state of Texas. In the year 1881, a mysterious cowboy traveled through Ratwater where he spied a tree from which was hung several Native Americans. In addition to having been hung, he took note of the fact that they had also been scalped.
Whether Ratwater still remains as a town today is unclear. It has maintained a legacy however. A brand of whiskey is named for the town and bears the silhouette of a cowboy upon its label.
