"My Mentor"

"My First Day" is the series premiere of the medical sitcom series Scrubs. It was directed by Adam Bernstein with a script written by series creator Bill Lawrence. It first aired on NBC on October 2nd, 2001.

  • This is the first episode of the series. First appearance of all characters.
  • The nervous lawyer with the flop sweat is unnamed in the credits for this episode. He is later identified as Ted Buckland.
  • Todd's surname is later revealed to be Quinlan in future episodes.
  • Aloma Wright's character is identified as Nurse Roberts in the co-starring credits. Her first name is later revealed to be Laverne.
  • Michael Hobert, who plays the pizza delivery patient, will return to the series in 2004 as an intern named Lonnie, who works under Dorian and becomes known as "J.D.'s Bitch". He will be a recurring character from seasons three through six.
